Rescued from his Uncle and Aunt, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) goes to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He becomes friends with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). A series of events follows to a ‘battle’ with Lord Voldemort, and evil dark wizard, and he ends up winning.

This movie is a part of my weekend Harry Potter Marathon, so there’ll be a lot of reviews today and tomorrow.

Since it is based on my all-time favourite book series, I had really high expectations from the movie. It would be wrong to say that the effects weren’t goo, because they actually were. The fangirl in me is still irked by the fact that the descriptions in the book weren’t followed that nicely. The characters were doing things that they didn’t do in the books and the storyline wasn’t exactly followed.

However, it was a beautiful movie with amazing visuals and to top it off a perfect casting. The movie also managed to show the Ron-Hermione chemistry I could figure out only in the fourth book.
